bss appoints new IS Director

Neil Richardsonbss, the UK's leading provider of customer interaction services, announced  that it has appointed Neil Richardson as Information Systems (IS) Director. Neil, previously Chief Information Officer of an Agency of HM Cabinet Office has over 20 years' experience and has worked with Unilever, Innospec and Ernst & Young.

Neil joins an organisation with a strong heritage of delivering robust information systems solutions for a number of government and non-governmental organisations. bss' clients include Halifax, Action Fraud and the Department for Business Innovation and Skills.Italso set up and operated the helpline for the 2011 Census and last year won the 2011 Outsourcing Contact Centre Provider of the Year at the National Outsourcing Association Awards (NOAAs).

At the Cabinet Office, Neil was responsible for all aspects of information provision for the UK's largest public buying organisation which supported the procurement of £7 billion of goods and services annually. At Innospec, one of the world's largest chemical specialists, Neil led a four year programme working with teams in Europe and North America, to deliver a streamlined, global IT platform based on Oracle and Microsoft solutions. At Ernst & Young, Neil delivered IT and business change programmes for Kellogg's, GlaxoSmithKline and Lloyd's of London.

Neil is married and lives with his wife and children in Cheshire. During his free time Neil enjoys horse riding and is a triathlete. He most recently completed the Blenheim Triathlon, which takes place on a world heritage site and participants on the track included Jenson Button and Pippa Middleton.
